My workout challenge to you this week is to complete your own turkey trot race and post your time or your turkey trot workout on face book or leave a comment on here. If you are having trouble coming up with the distance then follow the below.
Run/Walk your fastest two miles and post.
Okay so first off, I wanted to say atta girl! You're awesome and I hope to one day be as awesome runner as you are.
ReplyDeleteSo here is my first go at the Turkey Trot, which I have to give myself some credit because this is maybe my 2nd week back into somewhat of a "workout routine" and 7 months post pregnancy. When I saw this and decided that I could do it, I was shooting for AT BEST, 2 miles in 30 mins. So, with a little help and encouragement from my husband (pressing the treadmill button to go faster on my last lap), I logged a 2 mile time of 27:46! Good start and something to improve on but I'll take it! ;) Thanks for the challenge Steph because I would have stopped at my normal mile to mile and a quarter!
:-) Awesome job! You killed your goal! Also, to think you did about a mile more than you normally do. That has to make you feel pretty dang good! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering, what is better to jog/run for distance or time?
ReplyDeleteOk Steph, did my Turkey Trot this a.m. and did my 2 miles in 19:43! I will take it for sure, but I feel like I could have pushed harder for longer than I did at the end. Dang it! Thanks for the challenge and making me push myself! You rock my friend=)
ReplyDeleteALB - It depends what your goal is. What is your goal?
ReplyDeleteMegan - The good news is, you know you could of gone harder. :-)
